Job Description
The Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawians to fill the following vacant posts that exist in the different sectors of Nkhotakota District Council.
JOB TITLE: PRINCIPAL ECONOMIST
GRADE: G/M4
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be a serving Economists (Grade 1) with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience at that grade in Local Authorities or Civil Service.
DUTIES
1. Preparing guidance on allocation of resources;
2. Preparing in-depth analysis of development public interventions;
3. Supporting fiscal and monitory policy management;
4. Liaising with other departments in the Council and initiating the budget preparation process;
5. Supporting review, evaluation, analysis and formulation of economic policies;
6. Supporting development of Government Performance Reports; 7. Any other relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time.
