Job Description

ADMARC Limited Company was established as Statutory Corporation in 1971 under Chapter 67.03
of the Laws of Malawi. The Act was repealed in 2003. Following that, ADMARC was incorporated as
a Limited Liability Company, under the Companies Act. The repeal saw ADMARC Limited becoming
a non-subverted Statutory Corporation, but with Government being a major shareholder with up to
99% shares.

The Board of Directors of ADMARC Ltd resolved to overhaul ADMARC Ltd by Corporate restructuring.
The Board approved new structures for ADMARC Ltd with new skills sets to take the new ADMARC
forward. All employees were retrenched.

ADMARC Limited, a Statutory Corporation in Agricultural Marketing is looking for suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following posts:

Procurement and Assets Disposal Officer (Grade AL 5 Based at Head Office)

Purpose of the Job

To coordinate and efficiently administer all designated procurement and assets disposal activities
in compliance with the legal requirements while adopting best practices in procurement and asset
disposal.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Develop, implement and monitor procurement plans.
2. Interpret procurement policies and regulations.
3. Coordinate the closing and opening of bid submissions.
4. Prepare minutes for the Internal Procurement and Disposal Committee and reports for the Office
of Director of Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Authority.
5. Prepare procurement contract documents.
6. Coordinate the evaluation of quotations and bid documents and prepare evaluation reports.
7. Liaise with requisitioning units to come up with correct product and service specifications.
8. Source quotations from suppliers and procure goods and services.
9. Administer Procurement contracts and ensure delivery of goods and services in accordance with
the contract terms and end user requirements.
10. Check invoices for payment approval.
11. Prepare periodic reports.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement/Purchasing Supply from a recognised institution
  • Be a registered member of Malawi Institute of Procurement and Supply (MIPS)
  • Plus three (3) years’ experience in procurement and assets disposal.
