Location: Area 56, Mtandire (near Muzu Primary School), Lilongwe

Duration: 3 Months

Tingathe is a non-governmental organization that partners with peri-urban communities to build wealth that sticks. We work with young people, community leaders, women in small businesses, and school-going children to empower them with various skills that can enable them to thrive in their communities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate sessions for the Tingathe Training Program’s Leadership and Entrepreneurship course.
  • Collaborate with the programmes team to support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Tingathe’s various initiatives, including alumni site visits and other economic empowerment projects. This may involve conducting research and assisting with data collection.
  • Backup program-related data into systems and assist in maintaining organized records.
  • Contribute to team meetings and other organizational initiatives as required. Take on additional tasks and projects as assigned by supervisors from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Social Work, Community Development, Education, Development Studies, or a relevant field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and creativity.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
  • Passion for community development, education, social impact, and a commitment to Tingathe’s mission and values.
  • Must be based in Lilongwe (preferably close to the Mtandire Community).
