Mission/core purpose of the job
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that Helios Towers’ engineering and technical standards are implemented in the field through a combination of the following:
- Technical training and competence certification
- Quality assurance of completed works on-site
- Closure of technically complex SWO and SWO on priority sites
- Communication & execution of technical bulletins
- Verification & investigation of component failure reports
- In-field warranty claim activities
- Assistance with new product introduction trials

Reporting
- Provide inputs to the Manager (as required) relating to progress made within the department and in accordance with the measurement metrics set by the organization
Operational Delivery
- Establish, implement, and maintain quality awareness throughout our HT Network & maintenance partners
- Perform quality audits and lead management across the MP team audit that will effectively show opportunities for improvement and accountabilities
- Ensure that preventive maintenance programs and schedules are maintained by our maintenance partners as required by the manufacturer’s recommendations of all equipment across HT network
- Ensure that all new equipment installation across the HT network meets acceptable quality installation practices
- Work with all maintenance partners on process training matrices. All training needs to be updated on the process matrix, to ensure that methods that create quality preventive maintenance and equipment installations, are implemented across HT network and tracked for improvement
- Ensure that scheduled maintenance activities are carried out by trained/qualified personnel
- Support training by administering practical-based PM SOP training when required, in order to maintain maintenance capabilities
- Carry out audits to ensure SOP instructions are being followed, and approved equipment and tools are being used, in order to maintain service quality levels

SHEQ
Will be responsible for ensuring health and safety, and environmental best practices in the workplace and on-sites. Quality control inspections, ensure high standards are kept where possible. Some of your SHEQ duties
