Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the post of RECEPTIONIST tenable at Grand Palace Hotel in Mzuzu.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Handling check-in and check-out processes.
- Handling incoming and outgoing calls from prospective and existing Guests.
- Assisting guests with hotel reservations as well as room allocations.
- Processing credit card transactions and any other transactions required.
- Maintaining accurate records for guest charges.
- Assisting with guest requests and complaints as well as providing them with wake-up phone calls.
- Any other tasks as and when required by the management.
Knowledge, Skills, Competences and Attributes desired:
- Diploma in hospitality management or any other related field.
- Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) as minimum qualification with passes in English.
- At least two years of experience working in a similar position.
- General computer knowledge and willingness to learn hotel system/software.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Pleasant demeanor when interacting with Hotel Guests.
- Ability to multitask and problem-solving skills.
