RESTAURANT AND CONFERENCE SUPERVISOR (1 Position)

We are looking to hire a customer oriented Restaurant & Conference Supervisor to ensure that all restaurant and conference operations run smoothly. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Head Chef. The candidate should have the capability of overseeing the activities of restaurant and conference activities and staff, expediting customer orders as needed and maintaining good relationship with all clients and identifying ways to reduce the restaurant’s operational costs.

He/she must exercise effective management skills and take necessary disciplinary actions to address poor staff performance. The supervisor must ensure that customers have a pleasant restaurant and conference experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage staff scheduling for the restaurant and conference department
  • Conduct regular inspections of the restaurant and conference to ensure proper standards of hygiene and sanitation are maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with food health and safety regulations.
  • Identify customers’ needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns
  • Promote teamwork amongst the restaurant and conference staff as well as with other departments
  • Monitor inventory to ensure that all food supplies and other restaurant essentials are adequately stocked.
  • Assist in planning and budgeting for the restaurant and conference departments.
  • Reviewing customer surveys and resolving customer complaints in a professional manner.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Diploma in hotel management, any extra qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience working as a supervisor in the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong management skills.
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills
