POSITION: ROOMS DIVISION MANAGER

We’re looking for a passionate, customer-focused Rooms Division Manager to oversee the hotel’s daily operations for the front office and housekeeping divisions. You must be an exceptional leader and have experience managing staff, solving problems for clients, and making sure that our customers have a memorable experience. Our ideal applicant is passionate about delivering top-notch customer service while ensuring compliance with hotel expenses and quality requirements so we remain profitable. We need a Manager with at least five years international experience, preferably in Africa.

LOCATION: MANGOCHI, MALAWI

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Oversee the daily operations and staff of housekeeping and front office departments
  • Provide training to new employees on hotel policies and procedures
  • Develop long-term strategic plans for their division to meet company goals and maintain profitability
  • Deliver outstanding customer service throughout the whole client experience and motivate other staff members to do the same
  • Monitor staff performance utilizing KPIs, productivity, customer satisfaction, and absenteeism
  • Supervise guest services staff in order to ensure that all guests receive prompt attention to their needs

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Diploma from an international hospitality management school.
  • Familiarity with Property Management System, preferably Semper.
  • Super User PMS Experience
  • 5 years’ international experience in hospitality, experience in Africa is a plus.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams in both the Front Office and Housekeeping.
  • Must have knowledge of Aviation.
  • Must have hotel pre-opening experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
