Purpose of the Post

The purpose of the Sales and Marketing Officer role is to drive revenue growth and market presence by strategically planning and executing sales and marketing activities.

This role is pivotal in aligning sales objectives with marketing strategies to maximize profitability, enhance brand recognition, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identifying potential customers through methods like cold calling and networking.
  • Relationship Building: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients to understand their needs.
  • Vision Implementation: Executing the company’s goals and targets as directed by the Managing Director.
  • Sales and Marketing Campaigns: Running campaigns to promote the company’s products, services, and brand.
  • Strategy Development: Creating and executing sales and marketing strategies for better brand visibility and customer engagement.
  • Market Research and Trends: Analyzing market research to identify business opportunities and trends.
  • Market Share Improvement: Developing strategies to increase market share in retail and corporate sectors.
  • Customer Retention: Implementing programs to prevent customer churn and increase customer retention.
  • Revenue Maximization: Identifying opportunities to maximize revenue.
  • Customer Acquisition: Creating and implementing strategies for acquiring new customers.
  • Segment Synergies: Leveraging synergies across customer segments to enhance revenue.
  • Online Platform Management: Managing online platforms like Facebook and Instagram, and handling customer inquiries.
  • Sales Reporting: Analyzing sales data and preparing reports to guide strategic decisions.

Competencies and Key Requirements:

1. Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, Communication, or Sales.

2. Good communication skills.

3. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

4. Fluency in English and Chichewa.

5. Experience in data management and databases.

6. Must be a resident of Blantyre.

7. Driving license (added advantage).
