KAMUZU UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES FUNERAL PARLOUR
The Kamuzu University of Health Sciences Funeral Parlour (KUHeS Funeral Parlour) is one of the Business Units of the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS) that offers holistic funeral services and related merchandize to the target population of Malawi. KUHeS Funeral Parlour offers repatriation and mortuary services; hearse services; funeral related merchandise such as international and local caskets and coffins; wreaths; as well as funeral equipment.
In addition to these services, we offer the Mpumulo Funeral Policy, which is a comprehensive insurance product designed to ease the financial burden on families during times of bereavement by covering funeral-related expenses, including repatriation, mortuary services, and essential merchandise. With affordable premiums and flexible terms, the Mpumulo Funeral Policy ensures dignity and peace of mind for individuals, families, and organizations. The Funeral Parlour intends to recruit a Sales Representative to join its team.
Location: Blantyre (Mahatma Gandhi).
Duration: 1 Year (renewable based on performance).
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prospecting: Identify and reach out to potential customers who may be interested in funeral insurance;
- Presentations: Conduct presentations to individuals or groups to explain the features and benefits of the funeral policy;
- Closing Sales: Work towards meeting sales targets by effectively closing deals with interested customers;
- Have a thorough understanding of the funeral policies offered, including coverage, premiums, and any additional benefits;
- Competitor Analysis: Stay informed about competitors’ products and market trends to position the funeral policy effectively;
- Provide guidance to customers in selecting the most suitable funeral policy based on their needs and financial situation;
- Respond to customer inquiries and concerns regarding the funeral policy, providing accurate and timely information;
- Assist customers in completing necessary documentation for policy applications.
- Ensure all required paperwork is accurately completed and submitted for processing;
- Facilitate the issuance of funeral policies to customers and explain the terms and conditions;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage customer loyalty and potential referrals;
- Attend community events and networking opportunities to expand the customer base;
- Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and ethical standards in selling insurance policies;
- Clearly communicate policy terms, conditions, and exclusions to customers to maintain transparency;
- Provide regular reports on sales activities, goals, and achievements to the management team;
- Stay updated on changes in insurance regulations and attend training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales skills;
- Work closely with other sales representatives and team members to share insights and strategies for success.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- MSCE;
- Those with Certificate in Sales or Marketing will have added advantage;
- High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality;
- Experience in sales of insurance products;
- Self-starter, Resilient, Disciplined, Hardworking and Presentable.
