Job Description

The Satellite Centre Manager will ensure the delivery of excellent customer service to SACCO members, drive recruitment of new members, promote financial growth, and mitigate risks.

Major Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities

1. Membership Growth

Lead recruitment initiatives to onboard new members across all satellite centers.
Plan and implement strategies to boost membership sales.
2. Savings Mobilization

Develop and execute savings mobilization strategies to meet targets for all satellite centers.
3. Loan Portfolio Growth

Drive the growth of a quality loan portfolio by meeting loan targets while maintaining an acceptable delinquency ratio.
4. Loan Processing

Ensure timely loan processing within the agreed turnaround time (TAT).
Adhere to loan processing policies and procedures.
5. Process Efficiency

Oversee daily operations to ensure compliance with procedures, speed, and accuracy.
Optimize resources by minimizing waste and managing time effectively.
6. Performance Management

Ensure all satellite staff have performance contracts and undergo regular appraisals.
Identify and address training needs for teams.
Plan leave schedules for all satellite employees.
Manage and monitor Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) for underperforming staff.
7. Risk Management

Implement recommendations from R&C department supervision reports.
Action ICT audit findings.
Regularly report branch issues and ensure compliance with risk management standards.
8. Reporting

Provide detailed performance reports of satellite centers to management as required.
9. Other Duties

Perform any additional duties assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficient in providing constructive feedback, coaching, and mentoring.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Results-driven with the ability to work towards targets.
Sound business acumen and a professional demeanor.
Demonstrated leadership ability and team management skills.
Knowledge and experience in implementing best practices in organizational effectiveness and operations management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access).
Budget development and financial oversight experience.
