Senior Bakery Specialist (Lilongwe & Blantyre)

Location: Lilongwe & Blantyre (Two Positions)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

A well-established retail operation is seeking two experienced Senior Bakery Specialists to oversee bakery operations in Lilongwe and Blantyre. Each specialist will be responsible for managing bakery production, ensuring recipe consistency, and maintaining high-quality standards across multiple locations in their respective city.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate bakery operations, ensuring product uniformity and quality.
  • Standardize and refine recipes to maintain consistency across locations.
  • Supervise and train bakery teams, ensuring adherence to production guidelines and hygiene standards.
  • Monitor ingredient sourcing, stock levels, and ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Maintain strict compliance with food safety regulations and quality control standards.
  • Identify and implement operational improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in bakery production and management.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience supervising bakery teams.
  • Expertise in bakery equipment, production processes, and ingredient selection.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Certifications in food safety or bakery management are an advantage.
