SENIOR MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS

(1 X MECHANICAL AND 1 X ELECTRICAL)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The successful candidates will play a key role in the production of beverages by doing proper preventive maintenance of the plant machinery. The technicians will carry out mechanical or electrical troubleshooting, installation of machinery, utilities, and maintenance planning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Plant Engineer, the Senior Maintenance Technicians, will be required to carry out the following duties, among others:

  • Carry out problem-solving activities on the production line to detect anomalies and provide solutions.
  • Participate in the installation of new plant machinery and equipment.
  • Manage the stock of consumables used during plant servicing.
  • Supervise execution of maintenance works both planned and unplanned.
  • Train and support operators on standard operating procedures for maintenance works.
  • Ensure safety and compliance in all maintenance works, whether by internal technicians or outsourced.
  • Discusses with his/her team on daily basis on the performance of the line and send reports to the Plant Engineer.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate should at least have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an institution of higher learning, recognized by the NCHE.
  • Those with TEVETA Diplomate Certifications and or National Trade Test Grade 1, will also be considered.
  • Those with at least 5 years hands-on experience in FMCG Industry or busy production environment will have an added advantage.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Ability to troubleshoot heavy machinery.
  • Ability to design machinery monitoring tools such as dashboards, tracking tables, KPIs.
  • Knowledge of stock management.
  • Good communication skills.
