Telekom Networks Malawi (TNM) Plc, one of the leading telecommunications companies in Malawi, is seeking to
hire dynamic, creative, innovative, and adaptable, thinking outside the box, collaborative, data-driven and
results-oriented individuals to join our marketing team in the following position:


Position: Senior Manager, Brand & Communication
Location: Lilongwe
Reports to: Marketing Director
Grade: D3


Role Overview:


The Senior Manager, Brand & Communication role is critical to driving customer acquisition, enhancing
subscriber growth, increasing revenue, and strengthening our brand presence across various channels.


Key Responsibilities:


▪ Customer Acquisition & Subscriber Growth: Develop and execute brand strategies to attract and retain
customers, focusing on growing the subscriber base and increasing Average Revenue Per User (ARPU).
▪ Revenue & ARPU Growth: Lead initiatives to drive revenue growth through effective brand positioning,
marketing campaigns, and customer-centric communication.
▪ Churn Management: Implement strategies to reduce churn by enhancing customer loyalty and satisfaction
through targeted communication and engagement.
▪ Brand Management & Strategy: Own and develop the brand strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s
overall vision. Enhance brand equity and build a strong, consistent brand presence across all customer
touchpoints.
▪ Customer Awareness & Top-of-Mind Awareness: Drive brand visibility and recognition, increasing customer
awareness and ensuring our brand remains top-of-mind within the market.
▪ Media Buying & Planning: Oversee media planning, execution, and management, ensuring optimal brand
exposure through digital, print, and broadcast media channels.
▪ Net Promoter Score: Measure and improve brand perception, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
and loyalty.
▪ Agency Management: Collaborate with creative, digital, and media agencies to ensure effective brand
representation and campaign execution
▪ Marketing Communication: Develop and implement integrated marketing communication strategies,
including digital marketing, trade marketing, media, and creative initiatives.
▪ Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and manage the Brand and Communication team, fostering
a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.


Qualifications & Skills Required:


▪ Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
▪ 6-8 years of experience in brand management, marketing communication, or a similar role within
thetelecommunications or FMCG sectors.
▪ Proven track record in driving brand growth, customer acquisition, and revenue generation.
▪ Strong understanding of media planning, digital marketing, creative execution, and trade marketing.
▪ Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
▪ Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
▪ Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
▪ Experience in agency management and collaborative working relationships.
