Overview:

Telekom Networks Malawi (TNM) Plc, one of the leading telecommunications companies in Malawi, is seeking to hire dynamic and individual to join the marketing team in the position of Senior Manager, Pricing & Revenue Planning.

Tenable in Lilongwe and reporting to the Marketing Director, this role is critical to driving profitable growth through effective pricing strategies and revenue optimization. The successful candidate will lead a team of experts, fostering a culture of excellence, and ensuring collaboration across departments to achieve key business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of pricing and revenue planning experts, ensuring professional development and high performance.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies to drive subscriber growth and maximize revenue.
  • Lead pricing analysis for new products, promotions, and services.
  • Supervise geomarketing initiatives to enhance targeted sales and distribution strategies, ensuring alignment with market demand and geographical insights.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to ensure pricing aligns with business objectives.
  • Drive research and analysis of market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to inform strategic pricing and product decisions.
  • Oversee business intelligence efforts to develop insights that support pricing adjustments, product offerings, and revenue planning.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform pricing adjustments and strategies.
  • Develop pricing models and frameworks that balance customer value, competitiveness and profitability.
  • Drive continuous improvement in revenue forecasting and pricing processes.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Revenue Growth: Achieve revenue growth targets through effective pricing strategies and revenue planning.
  • Profit Margin Optimization: Maintain or improve profit margins while sustaining competitiveness.
  • ARPU Growth: Drive Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) growth by implementing innovative pricing models and promotions.
  • Market Competitiveness: Ensure TNM’s pricing remains competitive through continuous market and competitor analysis.
  • Team Leadership: Effectively manage and develop the pricing and revenue team to ensure high performance and collaboration.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Business Management or a related field.
  • 6 – 8 years of experience in pricing, revenue management, or financial planning, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a high-performing team.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Telecom or FMCG experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.
