Job Description

Reporting to the Head, Transaction Banking, the candidate’s responsibilities will be to effectively manage the Transaction Banking Sales team and lead engagements across Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB). The candidate will be responsible for driving the Transaction Banking strategy and deliver a diversified mix of product offerings to meet customer requirements, capitalize on synergies and grow market share whilst managing business risk related to products and processing across the value chain within Transaction Banking. This is a senior role which entails driving growth of both customer loans and advances as well as deposits whilst offering solutions to meet client requirements.

Qualifications

Business Degree or equivalent. Those with a Masters Degree will have an added advantage

Experience Required

5-7 years experience in Transaction Banking & Sales

  • A thorough working knowledge of a Transaction Banking environment with good exposure to Transactional products, client facing experience and the value chain.
  • Knowledge of the macro landscape to inform client identification and planning
  • Knowledge of Foreign Exchange & International Trade

Key Job Functions

  • Understand client needs in the context of multiple flow solutions across multiple solution sets. Review and analyze the client portfolio to identify potential upsell and/or cross-sell opportunities across product sets
  • Lead Transaction Banking client engagements across Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) directly or as a member of a cross-functional CIB team
  • Own and maintain client business plans, and consult with all relevant Transaction Banking market contacts
  • Act as the primary contact for on-going client concerns, negotiations and prioritization, ensuring all deal pipeline deadlines are met to enable accurate projections. Communicate with the deal team, and capture commercial terms and mandates on the system.
  • Check client revenues against sales force plan and close any variance with clients based on projected revenues and conditions. Driving the optimal utilization of new efficient products and services to drive commercialization.
  • Coordinate the work of team members to ensure that work outcomes are achieved, whilst maintaining team wellness and a learning/curiosity mind-set. Provide on-the-job technical guidance and coaching to optimize resources and performance to consistently deliver work and meet agreed targets.
