Job Description
UMODZI Savings and Credit Cooperation Limited is a member owned financial cooperative serving all civil servants and Non-Governmental Organizations in Malawi. The SACCO is an affiliate of Malawi Union of Savings and Credit Cooperative (MUSCCO), and is also fully licensed by Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM). Umodzi SACCO is looking for energetic, self-motivated and enthusiastic person to fill the position of Teller. The said person will be reporting to branch supervisors and will be diploid in Lilongwe.
Key Duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Provide a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service
- Balancing cash drawer by the end of each working day
- Process invoices and filling
- Ensure that the teller station is always full supplied
- Process deposits, withdrawals and any other transaction needed by members
- Exercise discretion, judgement and initiative regarding transaction problems and inquiries
- Recommend SACCO services that would be beneficial to members
- And Any other duties as assigned from time to time
Qualification and Experience
- Diploma in Business Administration, Accountancy, Banking or its equivalent (a degree will be an added advantage)
- At least two years’ experience in customer service
- Knowledge of SACCO business
- Must be between the ages of 24-35
- Knowledge of Fin-Financials core banking system or any banking system
- Experience in all terrain areas will be an added advantage.
