Job Description

Seeking an experienced Data Analyst with +10 years’ experience in Finance and Insurance. Critical focus in analysing, forecasting, and optimizing data performance, adept in agile practices. Responsibilities include developing management reports, end-to-end analytics, creating new reports, building Power BI custom reports, managing custom extracts, maintaining reports, and data modelling.
The candidate will translate data into actionable insights for strategic business decisions. Strong skills in ETL mapping, technical integration, testing, MIS, and report building are required.

  • Develop & implement data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
  • Maintain, and facilitate changes to the Chart of Accounts, within a strict governance framework.
  • Consult with business and technical stakeholders to provide information and guide decision-making.
  • Analyse, forecast, and optimise data performance.
  • Assist in the creation of detailed management reports for the Lead.
  • Data cleaning and addressing issues within the data.
  • Use statistical tools & methods to test hypotheses, identify trends, and make predictions where applicable.
  • Conduct trend analysis and highlight performance areas for attention.
  • Provide recurring success & failure analytics and an optimisation strategy.
  • Performance-based ad-hoc reporting for specific focus areas of concern.
  • Aligns technology to business needs.
  • Create dashboards and reports that communicate insights to stakeholders, using tools such as Power BI, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to create interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Use tools and libraries to represent data in a visual format that is easy to understand for business stakeholders.
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage data already gathered by other functions in the OMAR Group.
  • Collaborate with the broader Finance COE team to elicit and document business requirements and support their testing and implementation throughout the lifecycle.
  • Provide operational and best practice context for the internal environment.
  • Build relationships with peers and or colleagues that impact across business areas.
  • Responsible for clear and effective communication between the teams and business.
  • Provide technical consulting services where required.
