Job Description

Amref Health Africa is the largest international health development organization based in Africa.

Amref Health Africa Malawi intends to conduct a study to assess Community driven health financing
approaches that expand access to quality health services and empower communities to take
ownership. The study aligns with proposed Malawi governance health financing approaches as part
of reforms contained in the HSSPIII. The data collection for the study will be done within one (1)
month.

Job Summary.

Reporting to the M&E Research Officer, the temporary enumerator will be responsible for
administering questionnaires and leading the qualitative discussions for the study assessments.
S/he will be responsible for transcribing and cleaning all data collected during the assessments.

Roles and Responsibilities

 Participate in all trainings and orientations regarding the data collection tools.
 Conduct household listing and site sampling.
 Administer paper based or electronic based tools to study participants.
 Translate data collection tools into different languages as appropriate.
 Participate in pre-testing exercise of the data collection tools.
 Explaining study procedures to respondents to ensure that they understand the process.
 Conducting interviews and FGDs with respondents to collect information about their experiences with various services.
 Maintaining confidentiality when collecting sensitive information such as health status.
 Maintain security and confidentiality of information and data collected.

Qualification and Experience

 Minimum of a Degree in Health Sciences, Social Sciences, or related field;
 Experience using tablets including ODK software (e.g. KOBO, Survey CTO etc.) or other electronic data collection software;

Other Required Knowledge, Skills and Attributes.

 Are self-motivated with good problem-solving skills
 Have ability to work independently with minimal supervision
 Being organized to ensure completion of duties on time.
 Excellent communication skills.
 Excellent problem-solving skills
