Job Description
The Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) Limited is incorporated under the Companies Act of the Laws of Malawi. Its core business is to procure, transmit and distribute electric power in Malawi as well as managing System Market Operations and Single Buyer licensees in Malawi. ESCOM is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions currently existing within the Corporation.
Transport Technician Interns (6 Positions)
Grade : ES10
Location : Transport Workshop
Duration : 12 months
Supervised by: Senior Transport Technician
Purpose of the Job
To ensure safe and efficient operation of transportation systems and vehicles.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Carrying out routine motor vehicle maintenance;
- Rectifying motor vehicle auto electrical and mechanical defects;
- Carrying out COF repairs;
- Overhauling motor vehicle auto electrical and mechanical units;
- Attending to motor vehicle breakdowns;
- Any other duties assigned.

- The ability to operate effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate must possess a minimum qualification of a Diploma in Automobile Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Level three Advanced Motor Vehicle Craft Certificate/ Diploma in Mechatronics and a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) from an accredited institution.
