EGPAF has worked in Malawi since 2001. Today, EGPAF Malawi implements evidence-based HIV prevention, care and treatment interventions in 177 health facilities in nine districts through EGPAF’s U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief/U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (PEPFAR/CDC) – funded Achieving HIV Epidemic Control through Scaling Up Quality Testing, Care and Treatment in Malawi.

EGPAF seeks to fill the following open position:

Title                                          :            HIS Help Desk Officer

Reports to                                :            HIS Implementation Manager

How will you fight for an AIDS-free generation?

The Help Desk Officer will be deployed to sites based on technical support needs as determined by the HIS Implementation Manager.

No two days are alike at EGPAF, but what can you expect in this role?

  • Log all EMR issues as they occur in facilities
  • Provide first line support and respond to user needs and queries in a timely and resolute manner
  • Prioritize and Identify supplies to address the issues in facilities
  • Update status and daily progress of issues from sites
  • Keep and maintain a version log of all systems in facilities

To be successful, you will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology or related technical discipline (strongly preferred) or equivalent education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical capacity supporting an enterprise systems infrastructure
  • Experience in system support, monitoring and tracking tools e.g Icinga, Redmine, Redbooth
  • Experience in software development is a plus
  • At least 3 years of experience working in a similar role
  • Good command of spoken and written English
